How art & images invite us deeper in

Some musings on tarot and art from Fall 2022

Some musings on tarot and images, inspired after coming back from a trip to an arts-filled city and area (Providence&New England)

from Tarot of the Divine deck

9/27/22

9 of coins – Positive connection to nature…someone who’s always bright and happy

3 of swords – Darker, more mysterious. Shadow work. Cutting off a part of yourself.

The world – Connection with a partner. DANCING. water and flowers.

mural of a woman on a Providence street

Mural from Providence. My friend Shay let us know that the people who are portrayed are prominent people from the community. Looking at this one, it seems like one side is an older woman and the other is a younger woman (perhaps related), making me think of what we inherit and legacies.

Checking out one of the galleries of Rhode Island School of Design. Also look at that gorgeous tree out the window.

Some comics on a bathroom wall in a bar.

Alice and her crew made an appearance on some type of electrical box on the street as we were heading into Salem.

It’s tarot out in the world, which was so cool. This was in a metaphysical shop in Salem, and they had tarot/card readings going on in different areas of the shop. Sadly we didn’t get a reading this time around.

Back at home 10/15 Sat

with my magic tool, my journal

thinking about the appropriate and balanced response to each new moment

cutting free of the grip of something or someone

a lot of king and queen energy – making the right choice

8 of cups – journey deep into yourself

10/19 Wed.

The tower – having known a lot of chaos

4 of pentacles – that’s how I am with myself, guarding

Knight of cups – thank goodness we can let tears flow now and now, that can bring more curiosity and less shame

How have you been interacting with the images in your life? I hope you have moments that invite you to explore deeper into what the universe has to offer in this life.
